What about this new BLOG BANNER???!!!

OMGoodness!! How wonderful is this?? I have a new blog banner thanks to Jan Ely over there at Little Pink Houses. It suits me to a tee. I've made such great new friends at Room with a Past, all doing the thing we love best, gather treasures. When I was going thru my cancer treatment, I made up my mind that I was going to put as much energy into the things I love as I did into my job (which I'm sure was the stress that in a large part was what brought on my cancer). I needed to find my bliss. And I have. It's what I've always loved to do.

Thank you Jan for the wonderful gift you've given me. I couldn't have come up with anything as wonderful as this. I just LOVE it.

I'm inspired by Audrey and Jan's energy and skill at what they do. Room with a Past is just so special. Always changing and the store just warms your heart when you walk in the door.

Weekend went toooooo fast

It's hard to believe the weekend is over. It went by way to fast but it was a wonderful 2 days. Terry started Saturday off by working on the new cabinets in the garage while I 'sorted' a large area of my 'junk'. It will be so nice to have both sides of the garage finished in the new white cabinets. Steve, Stacey, Terry and I went to the movies. I thought Charlie Wilson's War would be a little better than it was but it was a pretty good movie. The best part was sharing it with Steve and Stacey. There is something about your daughter growing up and getting married. I'll have to write about that later. She's so excited about her new goal, teaching. It warms my heart in so many ways.
Today I went to the store to pick up 2 things. I spent over an hour at the grocery store, spent over $100 and came home without the one thing I went for. I hate it when I do that.
Now I have to finish cleaning out the cabinet where the last new cabinet will go. I realized as I was packing up all these collectibles that I really don't need them. I want to let go but its so hard. What should go and what should I keep???? I just can't figure out why it's so hard for me to let go of all this glassware. That's another topic in itself.
Tomorrow is my last infusion I think. I sure hope so and oh shoot, I forgot to go to the lab so I'll have to go in early tomorrow. Darn it! Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff.

WOW, MY FIRST VISITOR

Wow, I had my first comment! That's exciting. Now I have to add something interesting. Got to get out that camera and learn how to use it. Who says you can't teach this old gal new tricks????
This weekend instead of working in the yard (it's too wet after this weeks storm anyway), I'll work on prettying up my blog site. Well, I do have to take this weeks thrift store find out of the car so I can get in it.
And the lab, can't forget that. Monday is my last Hercepton infussion. I won't know what to do with myself not going to the hospital every 3 weeks but I'm sure I'll find something. Like maybe going on with living.
I had my first visitor on my blog today. How sweet was that for willzmom to check on me. The people out there in cyberland are just amazing. Vickie over at Turkeyfeathers got me thru the chemo and now maybe I'll be able to pass it forward somehow.
It was a long day at work today so I'm going to hit the hay. Wish I could think of something clever to say but until I do, sleep tight.

Todays My Birthday! And my blog is born

Todays my birthday and I've finally decided to bite the bullet to start this blog. I've enjoyed others for about a year now but never thought I had much to talk about. And the talent out there! Oh my. I'd love just a little of it. So this is my new birth.
Now that I've got this started, it's time for bed. Story of my life, not enough time to do what I love only what I have to do. Think I'll change that.
